ADX Criteria

• DM+ Crosses Above the DM- or
• DM+ Crosses Below the DM- or
• DM+ Crosses Above the ADX or
• DM+ Crosses Below the ADX or
• DM- Crosses Above the ADX or
• DM- Crosses Below the ADX or
• ADX is Above or
• ADX is Below

Properties

The above settings would scan for a 10 Period ADX, where the DM+ Crosses Above the DM-. The Value would play no part in this scan. The scan would be applied to a Daily chart.

Note: Value is only used when a Scan For type of ADX is Above or ADX is Below is selected.

Scan For

• DM+ Crosses Above the DM-
  Select this option to scan for when the DM+ crosses above the DM-.

• DM+ Crosses Below the DM-
  Select this option to scan for when the DM+ crosses below the DM-.

• DM+ Crosses Above the ADX
  Select this option to scan for when the DM+ crosses above the ADX.

• DM+ Crosses Below the ADX
  Select this option to scan for when the DM+ crosses below the ADX.

• DM- Crosses Above the ADX
  Select this option to scan for when the DM- crosses above the ADX.

• DM- Crosses Below the ADX
  Select this option to scan for when the DM- crosses below the ADX.

• ADX is Above
  Select this option to scan for when the ADX is above the specified Value.

• ADX is Below
  Select this option to scan for when the ADX is below the specified Value.

Period

Select the ADX period (bars) that the scan will be looking for. If this were set to 10 it would search using a 10 period ADX.

Value

This is the setting for the value that the ADX must cross above or below. If this were set to 5 it would look for when the ADX crosses either below or above the 5 value.

Period Type

This setting sets the period type to use when calculating the ADX. For example, by selecting Daily the ADX will be calculated off a day bar period (a daily chart), if it was set to Weekly, it would be calculated off a Weekly bar period (a weekly chart). You can select from the following options.

• Daily
• Weekly
• Monthly
• Yearly
