The Market Analyst Scanning Manager has been designed for quick access to your favourite created scans as well as pre-set scans. Once the scan criteria have been set up, you will be able to run your scan with only a couple of clicks of your mouse.
It is important to understand that the Market Analyst Scanning Manager is in no way a black box system and will not give you buy or sell signals.
Scanning Manager Main Screen

Saved Scans
The Saved Scans window is where all the pre-configured scans are listed.
New Scan Button - Click the New Scan button when you want to create a new scan. You will then be take through wizard that will ask you all the questions needed to create a scan to your requirements.
Delete - Click this button to delete the currently selected scan in the Saved Scans list.
Scans
This is where all the scan criteria related to the currently selected scan is listed.
Add - Click this button to add a new scan criteria to the currently selected scan.
Remove - Click this button to remove a scan criteria from the currently selected scan.
Edit - Click this button to edit the scan criteria of the currently selected scan
Date Range
This is the window in which you select the date range to apply the currently selected scan to. (Note: If you select the date range as Today ensure you have current data for Today or you will not get any results.)
Range Selector Menu - Click on this drop down menu to select the date range you wish to use. The choices available are: Today, Yesterday, Last Week, Last Month, Selected and Range
Start Date - Use this option to select the start date of a scan when Selected or Range is chosen from the Range Selector Menu.
End Date - Use this option to select the end date of a scan when Selected or Range is chosen from the Range Selector Menu.
Data Group
This is where the data groups related to the currently selected scan exist. The tick box next to the data group allows you to select wether that data group will be used with the scan. When there is a tick in the box that data group will be used, when the tick is removed from the box that group will not be used in the currently selected scan.
Add - Click this button to add more data groups to the currently selected scan.
Remove - Click this button to remove data groups from the currently selected scan.
Ignore Codes Option
Tick this box when you want to exclude scanning data file with code over three characters in length e.g. Options and Warrants.
Show All Dates Option
Tick this box when you want the scan to include codes that meet the selected criteria multiple times over the date range scanned.
Save Button
When any change is made to a scan, wether it be a Scan Criteria, Date Range or Data Group, you need to click the Save button to make the changes permanent to that scan.
Save As Button
The Save As button allows you to save an existing scan as a different name. For example, if you have a scan called "Moving Average", you could save that scan as a new scan called "Moving Average & Volume"
Execute Scan Button
Click this button to execute a scan using all the settings in the currently selected scan.
Scan Results
In this window you will find all the results of a successfully executed scan.
Save Results
The Save Results button will allow you to save the results of a scan in the following formats:
Save As Workbook - This option allows you to save the results of a scan to a workbook that you can then open in Market Analyst.
Save As Scan Result - This option allows you to save the results of a scan a group of data files that may be selected in the data groups for rescanning.
Add To Existing Workbook - This option allows you to save the results of a scan to an existing Market Analyst workbook.
Open as New Workbook - This option will open all the codes in the scan results window and instantly display the first chart.
Export to CSV - Allows you to export the scan results to a CSV formatted file.
Print Results
This option allows you to print the results of the scan to a printer.
Delete Selected Results
This option allows you to deleted selected results from the results list.
Filter Results
Use this button to filter the results of the scan based on the following options.

Scanning Progress Bar
This is where you will see the progress of a scan that is being executed.
Stop Scan Button
Click this button if you want to stop a scan that is in progress.
