How to sell and assign securities for multiple buy entries

This section will show you how you can record a sell order for a security that has multiple buy orders. It will show you how to manually assign a quantity to a specific buy order.

On your Portfolio window, left click on the security code of the company that you want to sell shares from, and then click on the Exit Trade button.

The Exit Transaction screen will open. Confirm the security information and enter the Quantity of shares you have sold, then left click in the Price Per Unit field.

Once the top section of the Exit Transaction window is complete, you can make adjustments to the Assign quantities to sell window.

The quantity of shares that you have entered to sell will automatically be distributed in the Assign section.

To manually adjust this distribution so that you can correctly record your sell order, enter the relevant value in the Quantity To Sell field by left clicking in the field.

Enter the alternate amount of shares that you want to record as being sold from this buy order. Press the Enter button on your keyboard.

The Unassigned Quantity field will automatically display the quantity of securities still unassigned on the sell order.

Assign the remaining unassigned quantities to the appropriate Quantity to Sell fields.  You will be unable to store your sell order if Unassigned Quantity is greater than zero.

Once all securities have been correctly assigned, click on the Store Sell Order button and your sell order will be processed to your Portfolio.
