In the above example you can see the Gann Square Markers tool applied to a chart of the Dow Jones.  The tool has taken the selected price of 6440.08 (the low in March 2009), multiplied it by 0.01, then converted the value (64.4) into the number of bars from the selected date, marking it with a blue line.  

This is a very simple example, however more complex formula are available.  Below is a list of all the items available for use in the Gann Square Markers tool:

With the release of program update 6.5 Build 51 a new option has been added where the results of one calculation can be used in the calculation of another marker.   Example Result + TAN(Price)

Properties

Bar Line Style:  Lets you adjust the Line Type, Width and Colour of the Gann Square Markers anchor lines.

Price Factor:  Used to make adjustments on the value of the charts price as it is used in the calculations.  Price = (Selected Price * Price Factor).

Repeat Markers:  Tick this checkbox to have the level projections repeat in regular intervals (rather than a single projection from the selection point).

Price Direction:  This option lets you select the direction of the horizontal projection lines (up, down or both).

Time Direction:  This option lets you select the direction of the vertical projection lines (forwards, backwards or both).

Geo/Helio/Sidereal:  This option is available in the Astronomical Edition only.  For calculations using planetary angles / positions, etc, this setting allows you to select the style of Ephemeris used.

Levels:  This window is used to enter your custom formulas into the Gann Square Markers tool.

Time:        This drop down box lets you select whether the projection is based on Time, Price or Astro

Expression:    This is where the formula is entered.  Some examples are...

Time Control:  If Time is the selected Type, this drop down list lets you select the units of time used in the projection (Bars, Calendar Days, Minutes, etc).

Weight:  Some projections are more important than others This setting allows you to increase / decrease the importance of the projection.

Colour:  This option lets you select the colour of the projection line.

Visible:  Untick this checkbox to prevent the projection line displaying on the chart.

Width:  Use this slider bar to adjust the width of the projection line.

Line Style:  Allows you to change the style of the projection line (dotted, dashed, etc).

Tool Name:  Allows you to adjust the name of the Gann Square Markers tool as it displays in the Structures Panel.

Transparency:  Use this slider bar to adjust the transparency of the Gann Square Markers tool.

Visible:  Untick this checkbox to hide the Gann Square Markers tool from the chart.
