This article will take you through the process of setting up Market Analyst to use real-time data sourced from eSignal.

Before you being you need to have the following:

  • eSignal Account    (Username and password).  If you require an account please click here.
  • eSignal Program.  (You can download the program from here if you do not have it installed already).
  • Market Analyst 6

Process

1.    Open Market Analyst 6
2.    Go to the Settings menu and select the Configure Data Providers option.
3.    In the window displayed select eSignal and click Next.

4.    Enter in your eSignal Username and Password, then press Test Account.  Once the account has been confirmed click Next.

5.    Select the exchanges you want to use eSignal for and add them to the right hand side table.  Once all desired exchanges have been added click the Next button.

6.    Click on the Finish button, and close Market Analyst.
7.    Restart the PC to complete the setup process.

Once the computer has restarted you can re-open Market Analyst 6.  Charts from the selected exchanges should use eSignal data, with intraday time frames available for selection.

Please note that your eSignal account may give you access to more exchanges (and codes) than what is currently displaying in MA6.

Only a limited number of exchanges and codes are automatically mapped in MA6, however it is possible to manually add custom exchanges and codes.  The following video will show you how to do this.
