Turning on Training Mode

To turn training mode on, open a chart and left click once on a blank area of the page.

Displayed on the left hand side of the chart will be the Control Panel.  Listed under the Actions heading will be the Training Mode link.  Left click this link once.

The words Training On will be displayed on the top right corner of the chart window.

To view the Training Mode Console, move your cursor over the Training On label.

This console window is broken down as follows:

To turn the Training mode off, left click on a blank area of the chart and left click Turn Off Training Mode in the Actions part of the Control Panel.

Using Training Mode

With the training mode enabled on a chart you can hide bars from view.  To do this you will first need to set the Time Interval and Interval amounts you want to use.

With the Training Mode Console in view, use the slider bars to adjust the interval settings:

The following Time Intervals can be selected:

·         Bar

·         Day

·         Week

·         Month

·         Year

The Interval Amount can be set to any number you want.  Sliding the bar to the right will increase the value, and sliding the bar to the left will decrease the value.

Once you have set the Time Interval and Interval Amount, use the   symbol to hide bars from view.

In this example the same data file is used, however the top chart has Training Mode enabled.

Using the Training Mode to hide the last few weeks of price action, you can now apply your analysis to the charts.

With the tools and indicators applied, you can begin adding bars back onto the chart and watch how the tools react to the new data.

It is at this point you can begin using the Trade Tracker to mark entry and exit points to gauge the effectiveness of your trading plan.

Tip

You can set the Training Mode to a specific date by left clicking on a blank area of the chart (while Training Mode is active) and adjusting the Training Date field.
