Custom Shortcut Keys

Market Analyst 5 allows you to set custom shortcuts for a number of standard program functions.  This can save you alot of time in situations where you use the same functions on a continual basis.


Supported Functions

Open Chart Type:
Bar Chart
Candlestick Chart
Gann Swing Chart
Kagi Chart
Line Chart
Point Swing Chart
Point & Figure Chart
Percent Swing Chart
Renko Chart
3D Chart

Chart Actions:
Apply Page Template
Enable/Disable Training Mode
Enable/Disable Cross Hairs
Enable/Disable Grid
Enable/Disable Price Lock

Tool Actions:
Open Tools Interface

Menu Based Functions:
New Workbook
New Page
Open Ephemeris
Open Square of Nine
Open RSS window
Open Web chart
Open Top Movers window
Open Wheel of 24
Open Notes Chart
Open Course of Trades window
Open Market Depth window
Open Watchlist
Open Quote screen
Open MA news window
Open Square of 4
Open Hexagon chart

New Spreads:

Note: Some items such as Save Workbook will have a shortcut setup by default, however this can be adjusted if desired.

Setting up a Custom Shortcut

1.  Click the Setup menu.



2.  In the window displayed click the Shortcuts tab.
3.  Locate the function you wish to set a shortcute for and left click it.
4.  Click the None field listed in the Shortcut column and enter the key / key combination you wish to use.  (Note if you have already set a shortcut for this item, left click on the existing key / key combination to adjust it).



5.  Click Ok

The new shortcut will then be available to use in the program.
