On Balance Volume % scan
The On Balance Volume % scan will search all securities for the following:-
• OBV% line crosses above x value
• OBV% line crosses below x value
• OBV% line Turns Up below x value
• OBV% line Turns Down above x value
The OBV% line itself can have its Period value adjusted.
The scan will pick up this point, where the OBV% line crosses from below the 0 value line, to above the 0 value line
Period: Sets the time periods that are used in calculating the On Balance Volume %.
Value: Sets the value used to determine at which point the OBV% should cross for it to be confirmed as a positive result.
Type
• Crosses Above Value: When selected, the scan will search for securities where the OBV% crosses above the user defined value. • Crosses Below Value: When selected, the scan will search for securities where the OBV% crosses below the user defined value.
• MFI line Turns Up below x value: When selected, the scan will search for securities where the OBV% line turns from a downward movement, to an upward movement. This turn must occur below the user defined value.
• MFI line Turns Down above x value: When selected, the scan will search for securities where the OBV% line turns from an upward movement, to a downward movement. This turn must occur above the user defined value.
