Importing third party data into Market Analyst 5
Market Analyst 5 is compatible with the following data formats –
· Metastock
· CSI
· Market Analyst II
· ASCII / CSV
This procedure will take you through importing this data into Market Analyst 5.
1. Click on the Files menu button.
2. In the menu displayed left click the Import Data Files option. The following window will display:
3. Enter in a name for the data exchange (will display this name in the Data selector window).
4. Click on the Browse button and navigate to the parent folder containing the data.
5. Select the time frame of the data from the drop down list.
6. Select the data format from the radio buttons located to the left of each format.
7. Select an icon for the exchange (as displayed in the Data selector window) if desired.
8. Click on the Save button.
The data will then be imported into Market Analyst 5, which can be used to create charts via the Data selector.
