The File menu is the first of the five menus in the list along the top of the Market Analyst program window.

The Files menu contains the following options:

New Workbook
This option clears any charts that have already been opened and returns you to the Home page.  From here you can begin opening new charts and creating a workbook.

Open Workbook
This option is used to open a previously saved workbook.  When selected, a dialogue box will display, allow you to navigate to, and select a workbook file.

Save Workbook
This option is used to save the current workbook and any changes made to it. If you are saving a workbook for the first time, you will be required to enter a file (workbook) name.

Save Workbook As
This option allows you to save a currently open workbook under a different name. You will be prompted to type in a new file name for the workbook.

Copy Page to Image File
Takes a screen shot of the active page to be saved as an image file. The image file can be saved in the following formats:
  • JPEG Compressed Image (*.jpg)
  • Uncompressed Bitmap (*.bmp)
  • Portable Network Graphic (*.png)
Print Workbook
Prints all charts contained in the currently opened workbook to your default printer.

Close Workbook
This option is used to completely close a workbook. You will be asked to save the workbook if changes have been made.

Send Message
This option allows you to send a message to the Market Analyst support team, via an instant message system (similar to MSN Messenger).

Exit
This option will close the Market Analyst program and prompt you to save your workbook if necessary.
