There are 2 types of Templates available in Market Analyst 5, Page Templates and Workbook Templates. This tutorial will guide you through setting up a Page Template, and will include additional information on Workbook Templates at the end.

<!--[if !supportLists]-->2. <!--[endif]-->Adjust the chart’s Properties to display as desired. (For example set up the colour scheme as Swing Relations.

<!--[if !supportLists]-->4. <!--[endif]-->Apply any tools you want displayed on the chart.
- Not all tools are compatible with Templates. Specifically only those tools that do not require you to select a starting point on the chart will work. Some examples of tools that will work are Moving Averages, Volume and MACD’s. Some examples of tools that will not work are Trend Lines, Price Extensions / Retracements and Ellipse.

5. <!--[endif]-->With all the tools applied, ensure the chart looks exactly the way you want it to for all new pages that you open (items such as zoom level, etc).
Once you are happy with the page layout, you can save the Template.
Saving the Template
With the chart ready to be saved as a Template, left click on a blank area of the chart. Go to the Control panel on the left hand side and listed under the Actions heading will be the option Save Page As Template. Left click this action once.
In the window that opens, enter a File Name for the new Template and click Save to continue

Opening a new chart with a Template
With the Template file saved you can now use it to open new charts. To do this, click on the New menu and select the Page Template option. In the menu displayed will be a list of previously saved Templates. Locate the Template you wish to use and left click once.
